-Where do you shop for clothes?
JoJo says: I like to shop many different places. Bloomingdales, Nordstroms. Anything in one place - shoes, clothes, make-up, hair products. That way you can get everything done at one time.
JoJo says: And also little boutique shops.
-What do you enjoy doing on your time off from music?
JoJo says: On a day like today which I have off, I spend with my family. We went to the beach, we played soccer barefoot, now we're going back to have a BBQ. I like to spend time with my family and friends!
-What keeps you motivated ?
JoJo says: What keeps me motivated is a few things. Other artists -- I see their work and I want to be as good as them and to try to better myself. That competition is a good thing because it kind of puts a fire under me to do a little better and to better myself
-Do you have any tips for teens trying to become singers.
JoJo says: I would say that sing for anyone who would listen. You never really know who knows who. You may have a connection with one person who knows another person who knows another who owns a record company. If you like to sing R&B music, stick to that. If you like to sing folk, stick to that. Don't let people try to mould you into something that you are not. No one likes a carbon copy -- stay true
JoJo says: to who you are
-If you weren't doing what you are doing today, what do you think you would be doing?

JoJo says: I'd be in a public school! After I finished high school, I would go to college and maybe take a business course or do hair and make-up. I love fashion and hair and make-up. Honestly I feel like there is nothing better for me than what I'm doing, I feel like I was born to do this and I'm very happy.
JoJo says: I will say that I'm very lucky, I don't think that a lot of people get this opportunity.
-How does it feel knowing that you inspire so many girls around the world?

JoJo says:It feels unreal, it is amazing. It is an interesting position to be in because when you're in a position where people listen to your music and you can inspire them in some way, you don't want to mess up. Through my music I can uplift and inspire, it is a beautiful thing.

JoJo says: Some girls say that I've helped them through a hard time, I hope to do that more in the future.
JoJo says: It is also great because I'm so young and I'm the same age as some of my fans
whats the crazyies thing a fan did to see you?

JoJo says:Recently I was holding band auditions. I said that I wanted a Boston based band because that is where I live. This girl flew all the way from California and spent her college money that she had saved up to audition. Unfortunately she didn't make it but she said she was just thrilled to meet me! I felt really bad and I thought it was a little crazy that she did that but she was nice!

-What do you never leave the house without?

JoJo says:My phone, because just in case my mom needs to reach me or my friends. I never want to be without it. I always want to be 'in the know' !

-Do you like acting, or singing better?

JoJo says:I like them both. I've been acting since I was six and singing since I was two. I've been doing both for as long as I can remember. Right now I'm just really focused on my music. I took a year off and did movies but right now I'm focused on music. I love doing both and don't want to stop doing either.

-do u love ur career or do u sometimes wanna take a break from it all?¿?

JoJo says:I really do love my career. I never feel like it is too much because often times people ask, you know, young artists, "don't you feel like this is too much?". I really don't because I have a good balance of family and career. My mom travels with me everywhere. I'm never without her. I'm in constant contact with my friends but I also get to travel the world.

JoJo says:I don't take it for granted, and I do love my career!

-Are you planning some special show at the Miss Teen USA?

JoJo says:Yes I mean I consider it special! We just put a five piece band together and two backup singers. It is my first experience with a backup band. I'm really exicted for that, I don't know how it is going to go. I'm excited to watch the actual show, all the girls will be around my age. It will be a fun time!

-Did you like Aquamarine or RV better?

JoJo says:Filming both of them was a really cool experience. I shot Aquamarine first in Australia. Being there with girls my age, hanging out on the beach was fun. It really prepared me for being in RV. If I had never done a film before that, I would have been really intimidated by Robin Williams and Jeff Daniels.

JoJo says:I would say RV was a little more fun to shoot just because it was my second film and I knew a little bit more what to expect.

-I've been seeing different date as to the realease of your new album. Could you tell us the actual date?

JoJo says:You know sometimes I'm even the last to know. As of right now it is Oct 17. People often ask why albums get pushed back. It is because the labels want to setup the singles do the best as they can, and they want to position it so that it is at its peak when the album comes out. Too Little Too Late just came out and we want to ride this out and take it to the top!

-What is your favorite place to travel too?

JoJo says:I love travelling so that is a tough question. I love Europe. London... Brussels.. Belgium. I love the waffles there!

-What did you first think when you got Punk'd?

JoJo says:It is so funny, they never aired that. When I was being punked, I kind of knew. It was so over the top. Maybe they knew from my reaction that I realized I was being punked. I tried to go along with it for them. I heard a rumor that they didn't air it because they didn't want my young fans to hear me swear -- but I didn't swear at all so I don't really know why they didn't air it.

-do you have boyfrend????

JoJo says:Haha. Maybe!

-what has been the biggest obsticle in the music business ?

JoJo says:The biggest obstacle is trying to prove to people that I can actually sing. When people hear you on the radio, I think they automatically assume that because you're young, you have no talent or you can't sing. I do encourage people to come to my shows and rrealize that I do sing live. I'm trying to prove the point that I'm not just an image, not something that a label just cooked up.

-Do you write your own lyrics to the songs that you sing ?

JoJo says:I have been writing. I contributed a couple songs to this new record. But many songs have been written for me as well.

-I LOVE YOU JOJO ...... my question is will you be touring around Canada?

JoJo says:I love Canada and I do hope to be touring there soon! I hope to do a world tour actually. That would be either late this year or earlier next year.

What is your most embarassing moment?

JoJo says:My most embarassing moment.. I'm not sure if I have one particular moment that is most embarassing....

Who do you look up to as your role modle and do you see young girls looking up to you as their role model?

JoJo says:As a performer I look up to Beyonce. She is a great example of a strong woman and is her own artist. She is not only a great singer and dancer but she is a great song writer. She is a great role model in general. She always comes across as a lady and portrays a great image.

JoJo says:I do have younger girls coming up to me sometimes and saying 'thank you for being someone that I can look up to' and that really means a lot to me. I don't know how to take it. I still feel so young -- I am so young.... it is amazing when young girls say that.

-What do you do to prepare right before a performance?

JoJo says:I do jumping jacks.... and sometimes I swallow a teaspoon of honey to coat my vocal cords. I also drink this tea called throat coat that really works well.

JoJo says:I try to calm my nerves, I do get really nervous before a show.

-asks hey JoJo!! I love you so much. Do you check out fansites?

JoJo says:I love you too!!

JoJo says:I do check out my fan sites actually. They know more information about me than I do. It is so cool to see random pictures that they find and see all the work that they put into these sites. It is amazing!

-how do feel about your new album compared to your old album

JoJo says:I feel that this album is a lot stronger. My first album was my first time in a studio. I was very nervous. This time around I know more about how to make music, how to make a record. I collaborated with the producer to get the sound that I wanted. I'm very confident with how this turned out. I'm excited and can't wait for everyone to hear it!

-What inspired you for your latest video?

JoJo says:The director kind of collaborated with me on the concept. He came up with the idea of incorporating sports into it. I do like sports so I thought that it would be a great idea. Try to make it a little different than the typical boy cheats on girl situation. It isn't an angry song, it is more about moving on.

JoJo says:The director brought up the idea of using soccer. In my personal life, my boyfriend is a soccer player so I thought that was a little too close to home. So I was like, how about american football. The director said no no, it needs to be more international.

JoJo says:I said okay, I see where you're coming from. The boy who plays the lead boy is actually a UCLA soccer player... not an actor or model.

JoJo says:We kept the make-up and clothing to a minimum and let them see a more real side of me.

-whats ur fav song that uv recored so far?

JoJo says:I think that my favorite song that I've recorded is the high road. I love the chord changes, I love the rich harmonies. From the moment I heard it I knew I loved it. It is a song that touches me.

-Are you planning on going to collage?

JoJo says:Yes, I am... one day!

-how hard was it to get where u are at now?

JoJo says:I've been singing since I was two and performing since I was about five or six. Ever since I was even younger, I've been working towards getting a record deal and being able to perform for an audience. Really ever since I can remember, I've been working towards this. I got signed when I was twelve. As young as that is, for me it felt like a long time because I have been working towards that

JoJo says:goal for about six years.

-jojo, do u have any regrets about starting out in the music industry so young ???

JoJo says:Sometimes I look back at my first record and I kind of cringe because now that I'm fifteen almost sixteen, I am like "oh my gosh, why did I do that?" or I look at performances and I'm like "why did I wear that?". But do I have any real regrets? No. At the end of the day, I sold almost two million copies of my first record at age 13. It is a big accomplishment for me and I don't think that

JoJo says:I'll ever look back and regret it.

JoJo says:I think that if anything, people will see growth from me starting so young. When I'm eighteen people will be able to see a big change in maturity in my voice and things like that.

-ive met you before! your soo pretty. how long does it take to record an album?

JoJo says:Aww thank you so much!

JoJo says:This album took me about nine months to record. I recorded sporadically. I might record two songs on a weekend and then have a month off. It was right after I finished filming "RV".

-name one celeb. that you havent yet met yet that you would like to?

JoJo says:I would like to meet Mariah Carey.

-What song are you most excited for your fans to hear?

JoJo says:I'll say "The High Road"

-Are there any collaborations on your new Cd? With who?

JoJo says No collaborations but a lot of different great producers that I worked with. The list goes on and on. A lot of different producers from a lot of different genres of music.

-I went to see "RV" when it first came out and I ended up going to the theaters four more times because I liked it so much, maybe because you were in it, but you said in an interview with Launchcast that you would like to start acting, what kind of movie genre(s) would you like to go into?

JoJo says: I'd like to try a little bit of everything. I'd like to stretch my comfort zone, get out of my comfort zone. But for right now I'm focusing on this album. I won't be doing a film for quite awhile.

-Jojo as a R&B songstress what makes you different from what we have heard before ?

JoJo says: I think that today, in popular music, there is a lot of rap / singing over hip hop beats. More rapping than the singing. I think that how I am different is the fact that I'm actually singing. There is more melody to it. Songs that you can sing to, not songs that you rap to. They are songs that people can connect to. Especially "Too Little Too Late", people tell me that they can relate to it.

JoJo says: In that way, I feel like I'm a bit different than the music that is out there right now!

-Hi Jojo, you must be getting excited about performing at Teen USA. My question is, is it true your biggest fear is having your feet tickled?

JoJo says: Not at all! It is not my biggest fear at all.

JoJo says: My biggest fear is actually sea creatures!

-Were do u see ur self in ten years?

JoJo says: I want to go everywhere! I want to set no limits for myself! I have a lot of goals. I would love to win a grammy one day. I would love for my albums to go to #1. I want to grow all around as a young woman. I'd like to go to university one day and study. Maybe own a record company. Oversee other young artists' careers.. and still be recording! It is not something that I want to just do

JoJo says: for the short term. It is something that I want to make into a life long career. I love it and I am so lucky to be able to do it!

Hello!
I've been in the rehersal studio with my new band and also doing Miss Teen USA and AOL Sessions (coming out in September), interviews and photoshoots, and presenting at the Teen Choice Awards. I got home a couple days ago and I'm leaving again this weekend for a mini-vacation in DC and then straight to New York from there for some press. I was in California most recently, and although its awesome there and I had loads of fun, its nice to be home with family and friends. Especially before it starts getting too cold. New England fall and winters are SOO frigid!
I hope some of you got to watch my performance on Miss Teen USA... I was frustrated though, however, because my in-ear moniters (molded pieces that are mini-speakers in a singer's ears that help him or her hear themselves while theyre performing) were not working! I was kind of bummed because it was my first performance of the single, and I just wish I could have done a stronger job. But when technical things like that happen, I guess there's nothing you can do but keep going, especially on live television. But, oh well! Hopefully next time things will go a bit smoother. :)
By the way, I've got to shout out my new band! They are fantastic-- sooo talented and I'm excited to continue working with them...Evan (on the keys), Jordan (on the keys also), Jeremiah (guitar), Skeeter (drums), Mitch (bass), Kendy and Denise (vocals). Thanks guys!
